As a measure for maintaining & managing sanitation infrastructure Management & Maintenance Committee (WATSAN) has been formed in every school with teacher and student's representatives of every class. They have been provided training on maintenance issues and monitoring usage also carrying out hygiene campaigns in villages. Maintenance fund has been developed manage by the school WATSAN committees and kept accounts accordingly. For the community drinking water sources (Tube Wells) separate WATSAN committees have been formed with user's representatives for each tube well. The committee members have been oriented on repair & maintenance system
and record keeping as well as developed maintenance fund collecting monthly tariff from the beneficiaries.
Potential interested village youth were identified and provided technical training on repair & maintenance and supported with tool kits. This initiative was intended to make community level technical human resource (Jalabandhu) always available in the communities for repair and maintenance.
