Celebration of Basanta Utsav

Basanta Utsav or Holi also known as the Festival of Love, is one of the most popular and significant festivals in India. Among all seasons, spring season, otherwise known as “Basanta” is the end of winter and the beginning of summer. Basanta Utsav is celebrated as a way to welcome the spring, and also is seen as a new beginning where people can release all their inhibitions and start fresh.

On 4th March 2023, Sabuj Sangha celebrated Basanta Utsav with more than 600 women, adolescents and children at the Knowledge Campus of Sabuj Sangha in Sundarbans South 24 Parganas. More than 100 children of Kishalaya Sishu Siksha Niketan (Govt. Upper Primary School of Sabuj Sangha), 200+ adolescent girls of Nayantara Programme (Flagship programme of Sabuj Sangha) and more than 300 girls and women of Sabuj B.Ed. College and Sabuj Primary Teachers Training Institute participated in this festival. All the students from Sabuj Sangha educational wings celebrated this days with several of colors, dances, recitation etc.
