Sabuj Sangha is a non-profit, non-government development organization (NGO) working to improve the lives of underprivileged communities in West Bengal, India, through participation and empowerment. As one of the leading NGOs in West Bengal, Sabuj Sangha is committed to sustainable community development, grassroots empowerment, and inclusive growth across some of the state’s most vulnerable regions.

Sabuj Sangha traces its roots to 1954, when it began as a small social club in a Sundarbanvillage of South 24 Parganas district, West Bengal. From these humble beginnings, the organization soon expanded its work to improve the wellbeing of communities living amid the unpredictable tides of the Sundarban delta and the region’s significant developmental deficits.
