On 10th February 2024, Saturday, Sabuj Sangha on their long development journey, provided Ambulance for the transportation of Pregnant Mothers, New-Born Infants and Sick Patients of Bhupatinagar Mugberia Rural Hospital under, Bhagwanpur II block, East Medinipur Nandigram Health District to improve health services with financial assistance of ONGC, Govt. of India. Mr. Ansuman Das, Secretary of Sabuj Sangha handed over the keys of the ambulance to Dr. Abhishek Mondal, Block Medical Officer of Bhupatinagar Mugberia Rural Hospital. Deputy Chief Health Officer IV of Nandigram Health District, Health workers of Bhupatinagar Rural Hospital, East Medinipur District in-charge of Sabuj Sangha and other workers and about 50 digital sakhis (village-based women workers of Sabuj Sangha) were also present on the occasion. Dr. Abhishek Mondal, Block Medical Officer of Bhupatinagar Mugberia Rural Hospital said there was no government ambulance in Bhagwanpur II block, this ambulance will now work to solve the suffering of the people. He further said that from now on the full responsibility of operation and maintenance of the ambulance rests with the hospital authorities.
On the other hand, Sabuj Sangha handed over high-quality medical equipment, such as C-arm machine, five para monitor, photo therapy machine and OT table, with the financial support of ONGC, Government of India, to the Prajanananda Saraswati Sebasadan managed by Asokenagar Kalyangarh Municipality of North 24 Parganas district. Mr. Avijit Bose, District Officer, Nadia, Sabuj Sangha said that these medical equipment will benefit the health services of the people of Asokenagar Municipality. Medical Officer Dr. Subashis Das of Pragyananda Saraswati Sebasadan said that these health equipment were a long time demand in our health centre which today with the financial support of ONGC and Sabuj Sangha have been implemented will benefit the municipality and the people of the entire North 24 Parganas in the future.
