Plantations in the Sundarbans

Wipro Foundation is partnering with Sabuj Sangha in various development initiatives since quite a few years. On 25th February, 2023 a team of 175 Wipro Employees visited Nandakumarpur village in Mathurapur II block of Sundarbans, South 24 Parganas and shared hands with us in a Plantation Drive.

Saplings of various Fruit Plants– Mango, Water Apple (Jamrul), Guava (Peyara), Lemon (Lebu) and Betel Nut (Supari) along with a Sundarbans specific variety of Mangrove saplings – Sundari  is distributed among 1000 marginalized families of the riverine areas of Nandakumarpur.
