Since October 2022 Sabuj Sangha in collaboration with HDFC Bank Pvt. Ltd. Initiated to transform 25 Govt. schools into SMART School. On 5th September 2023, Sabuj Sangha successfully handed over 25 SMART Schools of Howrah District, in presence of 400 participants along with Shri Pulak Roy (MIC of PWD & PHED), Shri Sushanta Panigrahi (Senior Vice President, Zonal Head, GIB East), Smt. Anindita Banerjee (CH, Howrah District), other local bodies, District officials, HDFC Bank colleagues, School representatives and students.
The Principal of Kaijuri High School Shri. Prasanta Das shared how the SMART School initiative will help the students to achieve overall development and integrated knowledge, skills and values. The SMART Schools will seek to make learning more interesting, motivating, stimulating and meaningful. This project would bring an advantage for the poor children because they will learn new digital technologies, including computers. This initiative would not just help the poor but also work together with the government towards digitalization of India. Through the SMART School Project, we aim to improve the quality education and leaning experience of the students in the identified Govt. schools located in the urban area by creating conductive environment and ample opportunities to learn and by enabling the teachers in various proven teaching learning methods.
