Sabuj Sangha organized Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign in collaboration with corporates and PSUs on the objective of ‘Garbage Free India’ as called by honourable Prime Minister through different activities like Rally, Awareness programme, distribution of waste bins, street play and garbage cleaning in different locations of Kolkata and South 24 Parganas.
Mass awareness were created by the community people and children within the community regarding the maintenance of cleanliness in household and community level. Local club members, ICDS, Councillor, KMC Safaikarmis, school & college students, SHG women, Govt. officials and staff from Sabuj Sangha and ONGC were actively participated in the event by educating the community on how to keep the area clean and garbage free. The event was followed rally and awareness programme by involving more than 1000 individuals and 475 families were distributed with dry and wet garbage bins for segregation waste materials
Special Guests- Hon’ble Shree Sandipan Saha, Councilor and MIC of Education, Ward 58 KMC, Basin Manager, MBA Basin Kolkata, HR Executive of ONGC, and Govt. officials, viz. BDO, Joint BDO, Panchayat Samiti Sabhapati, Saha Sabhapati, and Representative of Executive Officer GBDA.
